1st Stop, Jardín Botánico Viera y Clavijo

An Amazing Botanical garden.

2st Stop, Caldera de Bandama

Go up to the mountain to admire the Volcano of Bandama. A place that it was magic a couple of years ago, nowadays they have builded around it some houses and golf court. It’s not the same magic but still interesting and a very nice point of view to admire the island

3rd Stop,Vega de San Mateo

Enjoy the views and the drive to get to San Mateo, on the way you will drive through Santa Brigida, a very nice small town used as a second residence of people that works or lives in Las Palmas. Palm trees everywhere and a nice market where you can find local products and wines. If you have time, it’s good to stop over and check it out, you might find some great gourmet products.

Getting to San Mateo it’s enjoying the drive and the views that the island offers, the countryside of Gran Canaria it’s magic beacuse it preserves it’s old traditional houses. Away from the tourist resorts from the south, it’s a very nice oportunity to discover the real Gran Canaria.

Tip:

If you go in winter time we recommend you to wear jeans and a jumper, the temperatures are colder than down in the city of Las Palmas!

4 th Stop, Teror

Very nice village where to walk around the center. On Saturday’s there is a very nice market on the street with food and some other local products. The colourful houses, full of flowers with the wooden balconies are just beautiful to see! The whole island comes to Teror the 8th of September to celebrate the day of “Virgen del Pino” in the big church that the town holds.
